A student film distracts a woman applying to jobs. “Windowless UFO” a short story now on Substack.
My health, I found out, is more important. Yes, I know what most of you on here will say: “You could have better health with a job.” And you’re right. But I don’t care about “amazing perks or a competitive salary.” I’ve had those. They didn’t guarantee anything good for me. I’ve gotten to the point where I pretend to be interviewed. I give answers based on my pretend job. I pretend this because I have to keep something about this going. If I don’t pretend, I don’t know what would keep me going.
